Head of Business Analytics – Energy Storage

Caleb Waugh leads energy storage business analytics at Lockheed Martin Energy helping to guide market strategy, business development and product design. As part of his role he oversees the design and implementation of high-fidelity techno-economic-financial models and algorithms to evaluate emerging energy technologies and business opportunities in distributed, wholesale and microgrid applications. Key focus areas include project financial valuation, renewables integration, distributed asset integration, value stacking optimization, risk assessment and total cost of ownership benchmarking for Lockheed Martin’s GridStar™ Lithium and Flow battery products.
Previously, Caleb held an internal advisory role in Lockheed Martin’s CTO’s office reporting to the VP of Technology and Innovation with a focus on incubating and investing in early-stage technologies to drive new growth opportunities for the corporation.
Caleb holds dual graduate degrees from MIT in Plasma Physics and Technology and Policy and has published and presented in many leading journals and conferences.
